THE FIFTEENTH REGIONAL CONGRESS ON GEOLOGY, MINERALS AND ENERGY RESOURCES OF SOUTHEAST ASIA (GEOSEA XV)

For implementation of the rotationally task of the Geology of Southeast ASIA Congress (GEOSEA) approved by the Geological Associations and Organizations of the ASEAN nations, “The fifteenth Regional Congress on Geology, Minerals and Energy of Southeast Asia (GEOSEA XV)” will be held from 16th to17th October, 2018, at Hanoi with Pre and Post convention fieldtrips on 13rd-15th and 18th-21th October 2018, respectively. The aim of the Congress is to foster an exchange of ideas, experiences, results,information and cooperation in geology, minerals and energy resources in Southeast Asia, plus of bringing together the experts from academia and industry all over the world in the field of geology and minerals.
On behalf of the General Department of Geology and Minerals of Vietnam, the Organizer of the event, Iwould like to cordially invite you to attend the Congress and related activities. Your attending will contribute to the success of the event at a series of scientific topics included: (1) Plenary Session; (2)Paleontology-Stratigraphy-Sedimentology; (3) Mineralogy-Geochemistry; (4) Metamorphic–Magmatic Petrology; (5) Marine Geology; (6) Geophysics; (7) Structural geology- Tectonics–Metallogeny; (8) MineralResources and Mining Industry; (9) Energy Resources and Development; (10) Hydrogeology, WaterResources and Management; (11) Environmental Geology- Geological heritage, Geopark; (12)Geoengineering and Urban Geology; and (13) Climate change and Geo-hazards.

The extended abstract (max 4 pages) will be publish in Conference Proceeding and handle out during the conference. Then, the high quality full papers will be selected and published in The Journal of Asian Earth Sciences about 9-12 months after the conference. Prof. Michel Faure, Université d’ Orléans, Orléans, Centre, France will be the editor-in-chief for this specific edition of GEOSEA XV.
